A friend just gave me a cool 1989 Yamaha FZR600 Genesis that has been lying in his garage for more than 19 years!

She has only 21576km on the clock and she’s in pretty good shape.

Here is what we call the Carte grise in Switzerland:

You can see in field 76 that the power in kW is only 36.1 (=49HP)… well this is the swiss FZR600 model (3HF, see field 23 of the carte grise).
There is no restriction in the intake pipes.
As you can see in the below picture, the red cable going to the TCI was cut.
I assume this modification from the previous owner is a kind of de-restriction:
